heybriz is a desktop assistant that operates your web browser on your instruction. This policy explains what the desktop application and its Chrome extension do with your data.

What the Chrome extension collects

Nothing. The extension does not send any data to us or to any third party. It has no analytics, no telemetry, and no remote endpoint. Its only network connection is a WebSocket to 127.0.0.1 — your own computer — where the heybriz desktop application is listening. That connection is refused until you copy a pairing code from the desktop application into the extension.

What passes through your computer

To carry out a task you give it, the assistant needs to see the page you asked it to work on. The extension reads the structure and text of that tab and passes it to the heybriz desktop application over the local connection described above. The desktop application then sends that content to the AI model provider so the model can decide what to do next.

This means: page content from tabs you direct the assistant to is sent to the model provider. The assistant acts on the tab you targeted for the current task, not on your browsing generally.

Model providers

Depending on your settings, the model provider is Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or a model running locally on your own machine. When a local model is selected, your content is not sent to any model provider. Providers process this content under their own terms.

What we store on our servers

If you use a heybriz account, we store:

Account information — your email address and credit balance. Payments are processed by Creem, our merchant of record; we never see or store your card details.
Your requests and the assistant's activity — the text of what you ask, each action the assistant takes while carrying it out (with that action's inputs and outputs, which can include the content of pages it reads for your task), and the assistant's replies. If a future version captures screenshots as part of a task, those will be stored the same way and this policy will say so before that ships.
Usage records — timestamp, model name, token counts, and technical events about how each request went: how long it took, how many actions ran, and whether it failed.
Workflows you record — the structure of a workflow you save: its steps, what each step is for, and how each step finds the thing it acts on. We also store how a workflow runs: whether it succeeded, which step failed or had to be repaired, and how long it took. The values you type while recording — names, numbers, addresses — are not sent to us; they stay on your computer.

Long runs of digits (such as account or ID numbers) are masked before anything is stored. We use this data to operate and secure the service, to debug failures, and to improve heybriz, including training and improving our own models.

What stays on your computer

Your files, your local search index, any API keys you enter, and the values you type while recording a workflow are stored on your own machine. API keys are encrypted using your operating system's credential store. Documents you create are stored in your heybriz account so you can reach them from any computer.

Credentials and sessions

heybriz acts on tabs you are already signed in to. It does not read, copy, or transmit your saved passwords, cookies, or session tokens.

Retention and deletion

We retain this data for as long as necessary to provide and improve our Services, and as required by applicable law. You can request deletion of your account and its records by contacting us at the address below.

Children

heybriz is for adults. Our Terms require you to be at least 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us data, write to hello@heybriz.com and we will delete it.

Changes

We will update the date above when this policy changes, and will notify account holders of material changes by email.
