heybriz is a desktop assistant that operates your web browser on your instruction. This policy explains what the desktop application and its Chrome extension do with your data.
Nothing. The extension does not send any data to us or to any third party. It has no analytics, no telemetry, and no remote endpoint. Its only network connection is a WebSocket to 127.0.0.1 — your own computer — where the heybriz desktop application is listening. That connection is refused until you copy a pairing code from the desktop application into the extension.
To carry out a task you give it, the assistant needs to see the page you asked it to work on. The extension reads the structure and text of that tab and passes it to the heybriz desktop application over the local connection described above. The desktop application then sends that content to the AI model provider so the model can decide what to do next.
This means: page content from tabs you direct the assistant to is sent to the model provider. The assistant acts on the tab you targeted for the current task, not on your browsing generally.
Depending on your settings, the model provider is Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or a model running locally on your own machine. When a local model is selected, nothing leaves your computer. Providers process this content under their own terms; we do not permit them to train on it.
If you use a heybriz account, we store your email address, your credit balance, and a usage record for each request — timestamp, model name, and token counts. We do not store the content of your requests, the pages you visited, or the model's replies.
Your files, your local search index, and any API keys you enter are stored on your own machine. API keys are encrypted using your operating system's credential store. Documents you create are stored in your heybriz account so you can reach them from any computer.
heybriz acts on tabs you are already signed in to. It does not read, copy, or transmit your saved passwords, cookies, or session tokens.
Usage records are kept while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and its records at any time by writing to the address below.
heybriz is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
